Bobby D’s Merchant St. BBQ

It’s really hard to find a great restaurant that is so outstanding that you just want to come back again and again. In my hometown Emporia, KS, we have a GREAT restaurant located downtown at 607 Merchant St. The wonderful restaurant I am talking about is Bobby D’s Merchant BBQ, or commonly referred to as Bobby D’s.

I have been to this restaurant many times but also read some online reviews about the service at Bobby D’s. With my personal experience, the employees were very kind and helpful. They had huge smiles on their faces, and quickly and kindly showed us to our seats. The waitresses and waiters were very friendly and always had a smile! If you are looking for a restaurant with marvelous service then Bobby D’s is the place to go. I would rate their service and employees 5/5 overall.

Obviously, the menu is one of the most important parts of strong, successful restaurant. The place I looked for the menu is their website, http://www.bobbydsbbq.com/ though you can also call them at 620-342-1990. You can order your food to go, sit down at the restaurant, or have food catered for an event. A few of the more popular menu items include; cheesy potatoes, okra, smoked single, smoked double, and many more! These are just a few of the many menu items that are very popular. From online reading, I heard that the okra was amazing. Their menu is full of many different barbecue and drink options that I would highly recommend you check out. I would rate their menu as 5/5.

At a restaurant, just because they say that their food is good doesn’t mean it actually is. I will be telling you about the food I ate, and what other people would say about the food at Bobby D’s. With my personal experience, I got the smoked single with pulled pork as my choice of meat and cheesy potatoes as my side. The cheesy potatoes are my favorite, and their house specialty (personal recipe, usually means it’s really tasty!). Their pulled pork is another one of my favorites because I like the flavor. It comes on a bun with plenty of meat and a sauce of choice. I usually get the mild sauce because I am not a huge fan of super spicy food. If you are getting a drink I have heard that their tea is good. They also have many kinds of soda and some lemonade options. I think that their food is amazing and most consumers would agree with me! I would rate their food a 4.5/5.

Bobby D’s Merchant Street BBQ is a wonderful restaurant in downtown Emporia. It serves BBQ and many other delicious options. They cater and offer carry-out as well at staying in the store. Their service is absolutely marvelous and I would say that this is a great restaurant for you and your family to stop by sometime! Overall, I would give it a rating of 5/5!
