During the 2016-2017 year, the 5th grade at Walnut School went on a field trip to watch the Royals.  There were many people that were also lucky enough to have this experience. I will be interviewing people and they will be talking about their experience as well!

Before the game, we got to go to “The Science Day at the K”.  We had the opportunity to watch people perform science experiments for us.  One of the science experiments was a balloon full of gas. They lit it with a match and it exploded!  We had fantastic seats for spectating the experiments. The experiments were very fascinating to watch!

I am interviewing AJ and Cooper because they experienced the event and also enjoyed it!

Jacob: “Why do you like the royals?”

Cooper: “Because I grew up in an influential environment.”

Jacob: “What was the thing you like most about the field trip?”

Cooper: “Watching the game and eating at Mcdonalds.”

Jacob: “Did you like the field trip in 5th grade?”

Cooper: “Yes, because the experience of it was so eye-opening.”

Jacob: “Are you also a big fan of the royals?”

AJ: “I am a huge fan of the Royals because I grew up liking them.”

Jacob: “Did you like going to the Royals game in 5th grade?”

AJ: “It was lit because I got to skip school.”

Jacob: “Did you like the science experiments before the game?”

AJ: “Yes because it was very fun and I enjoyed it.”

When we went to watch the royals, the previous season they were the MLB champions.  But the season we went to watch they had traded many of their players so they were not as good as they were the previous season.  I’m originally from Boston, Massachusetts so I love the Red Sox. I have been to 2 Boston Red Sox games and I enjoyed both of them.

Watching the game and experiments was very fun.  I wish more schools did this but it is very expensive and baffling for the people organizing it.  I hope Walnut will continue to do this for the generations that come!
