Black History month is for celebrating all the great actions by famous African-Americans. For instance, Barack Obama, Martin Luther King Jr., Jackie Robinson, Rosa Parks, and Langston Hughes, etc. helped pave the way for other African-Americans.  These are all great people who have done amazing stuff for our lives. Black History month starts February 1st and ends on February 28th. And the way how Emporia Middle School celebrates this month is by honoring the great people that changed our world.
