This is the ACT logo.

ACT’s is an abbreviation of “American College Testing”. The test is divided into four categories, the first is English, then math, following is reading and science; there is also an opportunity to do a writing test.  The ACT is a test that you have to take in high-school to meet State of Kansas qualified standards to be able to go to college at Emporia State University. In order to take the ACT students have already graduated from High School or earned a GED (General Education Development) credit. Because of ACT’s, EMS (Emporia Middle School) did not have late start day, a day in which we start school an hour late. Instead we had school at completely normal time… except the fact we got out at 2:22PM., an hour earlier than normal.
