People always ask me, “How can I make a meme?” Luckily for you, you have the right guy. As an expert in memeology, I feel I am fit for the role of a teacher for you. In this story I’m going to show you how to make your very own meme. Soon you’ll be a master like me.

The first step is to pick your website. If you want to make a high quality meme, then you need to have the right site. There are 3 meme making websites that I prefer, Imgur, Livememe, and Quickmeme. On most meme making websites (including the three I showed you) you’ll find  all you’ll need to do is pick the picture you want to make your meme out of.

The second step is to choose you picture you are going to use. There are two ways that I suggest, OG or Template. First we’ll talk about template format. This is when you take a famous or old meme and you put your own words and maybe even a bit of editing into it. The second format is OG, OG stands for “Original Gangster”, so using the OG format is when you make your own meme by yourself. Plus if you’re meme becomes popular you might get a name for yourself and may even get some money off of it.

The last step is to write down the perfect joke. The most important part of a meme is the punchline. You can’t have a funny meme without a good punchline. I usually do one of two things when I make a meme; I either look for inspiration from other memes or I wing it and see what I find funny and write it down. Once you’ve written your meme your ready to publish. To publish all you need to do is save it then post it on one of many meme websites like Ifunny or Reddit.
