Harmony Williams, 7th grader at EMS

     Harmony Williams, 12, is a student at Emporia Middle School, today I interviewed her. She is in 7th grade and a student in World Studies, She’s a great listener. She is on green team, and enjoys going to school. Here is a little bit about her.

 

Arianna: So what is your favorite thing about EMS?

Harmony: My favorite thing about EMS is the teachers because they’re really nice.

Arianna: Who is your favorite teacher?

Harmony: Mr.Hawley.

Arianna: Ah, nice. How do you spend your free time?

Harmony: I spend my free time, playing video games.

Arianna: What’s your favorite video game?

Harmony: My favorite video game is either Minecraft or Roblox.

Arianna: Do you participate in any athletics?

Harmony: Well, I used to play soccer, I only played it for about a year.

Arianna: Did you ever think about trying out for the team, or did you not want to?

Harmony: At first, I didn’t want to, but then I thought, “this might actually be some fun”. But, I was actually pretty scared to kick the ball.

Arianna: Oh ok, so when is your birthday? Do you celebrate your birthday? If so, what do you do?

Harmony: My birthday is March 29th, 2005. And, yes I do celebrate my birthday. We usually have like a birthday party or a slumber birthday party.

Arianna: Sounds fun! Who’s your role model, or who do you look up to?

Harmony: My youth friend Lisa Wecker, she is a teacher at Logan Avenue.

Arianna: What does she teach?

Harmony: She teaches kindergarten, as I know of.

Arianna: Interesting. If there was one thing about EMS you could change what would you change?

Harmony: I would change, the rules of no playing video games on the electronics, here at EMS.

Arianna: Cool. What is your favorite class you’ve taken so far?

Harmony: I like taking World Studies.

Arianna: What is your favorite thing about World studies?

Harmony: That you can write for the newspaper. And I’m very creative, so I like to write.

Arianna: Ah, nice. If you could change your color team, would you? What would you change it to?

Harmony: I would change to the purple team because it’s my second favorite color.

Arianna: Got it. Did you hang out with anyone this summer, if so who?

Harmony: I hung out with my friend and my cousin.

Arianna: Did you go on vacation this summer?

Harmony: Yes, I went to Great Wolf Lodge.

Arianna: Did you have fun?

Harmony: Yeah, and I got a bunch of souvenirs.

Arianna: If you could tell the incoming 7th graders, so the 6th graders now, what would you tell them?

Harmony: I would tell them that this grade is much harder than 6th grade

Arianna: Ok, thanks for your time, and for answering my questions.

 Harmony is very kind and outgoing. I had a great time interviewing and finding out more about her. I got to know her very well. She has a nice sense of humor, and she always has a positive attitude.
