Have you ever looked up at the sky to see quadrillion stars? Today we are going to look at the four biggest planets in our solar system. We will talk about what rank it is in, what the distance is from the sun is and its actual size, how many moons it has, and special facts about the planet.

Jupiter is the number 1 biggest planet out there.  Jupiter’s distance from the sun is 471.88 million miles.  The actual size of Jupiter is 43,441 miles across.  The total number of moons Jupiter has is 79 moons.  One interesting fact about Jupiter is that it has a big red spot that has been around for about 150 years!

Uranus is the number 3 biggest planet out there.  Uranus’s distance from the sun is 1.8369 billion miles.  The total number of moons Uranus has is 27 moons.  One interesting fact about Uranus is that it is the only planet that rotates on its side.

Saturn is the number 2 biggest planet out there.  Saturn’s distance from the sun is 925.64 million miles.  The total number of moons Saturn has is 53 moons.  One interesting fact about Saturn is that it is the only planet with “visible to the eye” rings.  Uranus, Neptune, and Jupiter still have rings they’re just very faint.

Neptune is the number 4 biggest planet out there.  Neptune’s distance from the sun is 2.7811 billion miles.  The total number of moons Neptune has is 14 moons.  One interesting fact about Neptune is that on its surface it rains diamonds.
