They have amazing service and food, the restaurant itself is pristine, and nothing is left unkempt. Today you’re going to read about everything you need to know about Joe’s Crab Shack!

    When you first arrive at Joe’s Crab Shack, you probably expect their restaurant to look like Red Lobster. Red Lobster looks more like a modern-day restaurant, with fancy lights and doors. Instead of looking like a fancy restaurant, Joe’s Crab Shack looks like a beach themed restaurant. Once you enter, you can see that Joe’s Crab Shack is heavily decorated with all types of beach related decor. At the Joe’s Crab Shack I visited, they had a fake shark hanging from the ceiling. Fairy lights (Small lights on thin string) hung on the rafters above the eating area. There is a small shop consisting of Joe’s Crab Shack’s merchandise right next to the entrance. The shops consists of T-shirts, hoodies, toys, and collectible tableware. Meanwhile, the tables of the restaurant have funny pictures and quotes on them. These are most likely meant to entertain you, while you wait for your food!

      At Joe’s Crab Shack there’s a wide variety of seafood you can choose from, ranging from seafood to mainland food. On the menu for shrimp there is Southern Stuffed, Popcorn, Crispy, Coconut, Sampler, and Shrimp & Fish. You can also add potatoes, corn, and carrots with your dish! From Joe’s Crab Shack menu there’s Snow Queen, King, Dungeness, and many more crab buckets that you can order. The most fun part about eating crab is cracking it open. Joe’s Crab Shack provides you with tools to crack open the crab. What you do is take the crab cracker (a tool used to crack the hard shells of crabs), and crack the hard shell of the crab by putting the crab part between the middle and pushing hard down, cracking the shell. This process is sometimes long and frustrating. Other times, you get a load of crab meat! The taste of the crab meat depends on the crab. If you have a snow crab, the meat is bound to be sweeter than a queen or king. Luckily, the food is brought to you in a number of minutes because the service at Joe’s Crab Shack is exceptional!

     You don’t have wait long for your waiters to bring you your food, which is something I enjoy. Even on particularly busy days, they manage to get your food to you depending on the customers, orders, and how many workers are there that day. Joe’s Crab Shack’s workers are all hardworking and persistent on giving you the best service possible. The waiters and waitresses are kind and willing to help you anytime you need it. They take your drink order first and less than five minutes later they bring you your drink! Later, you order your food and then you wait for less than thirty or so minutes. Again, it depends on your order! The overall message of this is that Joe’s Crab Shack’s employees are helpful, friendly, and just pleasant to be around!

     Overall, Joe’s Crab Shack is definitely a place you want to visit for their amazing restaurant, service, and food. They have great desserts, but the crab is definitely my favorite! Even if you don’t live by the beach or don’t try seafood regularly, try Joe’s Crab Shack located in 35 different states!
