During 2018 – 2019 there was a big war going on called The Great Darkness where most people and things in my universe were either killed or destroyed.

During this time planets were destroyed and disappeared and no one knew why. One example of this happening is the first planet that completely disappeared, the Ice Planet. The Ice Planet is the closest to the Royale Planet and the Royale Planet is the cause for everything disappearing. So, before anything happened everyone was trying to run to different planets. But more than half the population was gone and so that planet was gone for that time. Then two other planets disappeared. It felt like it would never stop. People ran, planets got taken over, and only a few survived. But for some planets that wasn’t the case. Some planets like the Teddy Planet had half its planet disappear. Or the candy planet where all the people were gone but the planet remained. Though one thing was the same for all the planets; before being attacked the planet would turn black and so you would have a minute before everything disappears. That was a clue that helped save our universe.

Just as planets were destroyed, people were killed as well. Examples of people being hurt were some people losing their arms while running. Most people lost their legs because they were not fast enough to get away from the darkness. While planets were disappearing there were many people who were left without homes. Planets were becoming full of refugees from other planets which led to more people dying when the planets disappeared and everyone ran again. Many people experienced trauma from The Great Darkness. I asked Isybelle Snow about her experience with The Darkness (since she was on the ice planet) She said, “Well when The Great Darkness happened I was 10. And my parents, they knew what was coming. So when the ground turned black my father picked me up and we all started running to the ship. But it was too late. My parents were disappearing while we were running. So my dad dropped me into the ship and I flew up while they disappeared. That day haunts me but I am glad it is over now”. Many people experienced the same thing, and it may have been even worse for some people, but we all have pushed through it.

It had been weeks of torture not knowing when the darkness would strike or when the whole universe would end. Though one woman, named Amara Black, learned the secret of the darkness. She was studying the darkness to try and help and she finally found something. She noticed that everything turned black before disappearing. But the Royale planet had been black for a while now and is still there. So, she gathered up a team to try to go to the Royale Planet. They took a bubble car and right when they landed they felt a cold shiver go down their spine. Everything there was cold and dark. It was hard to see anything there. They slowly crept to the castle seeing that no one else was there. They traveled farther to see if anyone was there at all but they felt they were being pulled towards something. Something dangerous that made a few people want to turn away. But when they did everyone was pulled even harder. Once they made it to the queen’s room there was a loud crying and wind blowing. They saw the queen and she was the source of all this darkness. When she saw them she cried even louder and it hurt everyone’s ears. Amara tried to get close to the queen to talk to her, but the queen seemed to take Amara into her head. Amara saw how the queen was in pain. Her pain seemed to be affecting everything in the universe. Amara didn’t know what to do, so she tried to talk to the queen but the queen wouldn’t listen. Amara got an idea. She pushed through the darkness and came close to the queen. Once Amara hugged the queen, everything seemed to stop and there was a flash of light and it seemed that everything returned to how it was before, but Amara disappeared forever. All the queen really needed was a hug and Amara sacrificed her life to save everyone else.

The Great Darkness was a terrible time. But Amara saved everyone so the future of that universe would be better than it was. Now everything is returned to how it was before, but Amara never returned after that. We remember her as “The One Who Saved Us All”. We made a statue in her honor because she taught us that sometimes all we need is a hug.
