Have you ever wanted to not work on schoolwork and just play games in class? Well, today I am going to be talking about why video games should be allowed in school. Some questions I’m going to answer are: is it good for kids’ enjoyment, is it a good reward if students work hard, and can video games help your education and teach you stuff?
Do Kids Find Games Enjoyable
Do kids really find video games enjoyable? According to my research, “Playing classic computer games at school can be a fun and enjoyable way to take a break from studying or work. These games not only provide entertainment but also offer opportunities for skill development and mental stimulation.” This means that kids find video games fun and enjoyable at school.
Does it make students work harder?
Do video games make them work harder? According to my research, “Many parents use video games as a reward for good behavior or compliance and effort at school. It is common to encounter kids who only get to enjoy video games or other tech play after they have fulfilled certain requirements, the way dessert is reserved for after veggies have been eaten.” This means that it is a good reward if your student has no homework.
Can video games help your education and teach you things?
Are some video games educational? According to my research, “Multiplayer games can teach organizational and social skills, while puzzle and strategy games can teach problem-solving. Video games are highly engaging, regularly social, and often mentally challenging, potentially improving work performance while providing a needed respite from work itself.” This means that some video games like Prodigy actually help teach students things necessary for school.
With all this information, it is clear that video games are really good for school. We talked about how video games can be educational, it’s a good reward if they have no homework, and we also talked about how kids enjoy playing video games on their school computers. You should go to your head principal in your school and tell them all the reasons you should be able to play video games.
