Have you ever heard of Puerto Rico? Well, the United States owns it, but it’s not a state. Since we own Puerto Rico, why isn’t it a state? I mean Hawaii is small but still a state. It helps the Puerto Rican economy, allows more people to vote, and it would help the United States as a whole.

Puerto Rico would benefit from being a state. According to Pr51st,  “Being part of the larger U.S. economy will increase tourism, entrepreneurship, and investment in the business in Puerto Rico”. This means that Puerto Rico would benefit because they will make more money.

This means that more people can vote and help the elections. Also, people say they won’t be able to compete in the Olympics. But, technically, since they would be with the United States, they would win more.

Territories help countries that they join. According to PR51st,  “With increased power and prosperity, Puerto Rico will bring greater benefits to the United States as a whole, as every territory has done when it has become a state”.This means that it will help the United States in every aspect.
