Have you ever wondered if it would be a good idea to get a LEGO Star Wars battle pack? Or, maybe you have wanted a good addition to your LEGO clone army? Well, in this article I am going to be reviewing the LEGO 501st Clone Troopers™ Battle Pack. In this interview, I will talk about the price, Minifigures, and cannon.
I thought that this set was a bit overpriced at first because it cost $20 for only 119 pieces. When you think about it, $20 with 119 pieces comes down to $.17 per piece. The set also comes with 4 501st Legion clone troopers and a mini AV-7 cannon. So, for all that the set includes, I think the price is 9 out of 10 because 16 cents is not that good for a small set but, there are 4 minifigures, and minifigures are worth about $5.
The set includes 4 premium printed 501st legion clone trooper Minifigures, all based on Star Wars Battlefront 2. The first Minifigure is a clone commander who has a range-finder on his helmet, has printed leg armor, and carries a hand blaster. The second Minifigure is the specialist who has macro binoculars on his helmet and has blue arms and 2 yellow stripes on his torso. The third minifigure is a heavy weapons trooper and in this set, there are 2 of this minifigure. The heavy weapons trooper has a sun visor on his helmet. He also has a strap across the torso and he also wears a backpack. So overall I would rate this set as a 10 out of 10 for minifigures because they all have good printing and are good army builders.
The third and final part of this set is the cannon. The cannon in the battle pack is an AV-7 clone cannon. The cannon has a seat for a clone trooper, but the cannon does not have any control panel, which is not the best feature. The cannon also has a spring-loaded dart launcher in it so it fires, which I like. Although, to accommodate the spring-loaded dart the cannon has a taller barrel, which I don’t like. So I would rate the build with a 7 out of 10 because the taller barrel is a negative addition to the set taking away from the rating.
Overall the LEGO 501st Clone Troopers™ Battle Pack has excellent Minifigures, fair cost, and a mediocre cannon. I would rate the entire set with an 8.5 out of 10. If you were considering buying this set, I would recommend it. If you are a Lego Clone Wars collector, this would be an excellent addition to your clone army.
