There are lots of cool electives, like art, tech, or animal science, but there’s one that stands out the most, culinary. In culinary, 7th and 8th graders have the chance to cook their own food and learn baking/cooking techniques in the process. In culinary, you have to pass 3 tests before cooking: identifying cooking tools, kitchen measurements, and kitchen safety. My favorite things I’ve made in culinary are scones and chicken fried rice. Overall, culinary is a very fun class and I would encourage any 6th graders or 7th graders that didn’t get the chance to sign up for it this year.
