Have you ever had hot chocolate on a cold, snowy winter day? I know I have! Speaking of having hot chocolate, that’s what I’m going to review today. I will be reviewing my mom’s hot chocolate.
Starting with service, The service was alright. The hot chocolate was very delightful and it was extremely hot. It was served with a side of Bolio (bread) and in a Hello Kitty mug. I had to wait a little while for it to cool down though. It took about 10 minutes to make so I don’t think it took that long. My dad took a sip of my hot chocolate so that takes away points because he could have gotten his own and my mommy allowed it to happen. But the service was 7/10.
Now onto the taste. It tasted sweet and heavenly and it had the perfect taste of chocolate; not too much that I wouldn’t enjoy it but just enough to be sweet. I kept burning myself thought tasted WAY better with the Bolio. I dunked the bread into the hot chocolate and it was so good. It tasted sweet and flavorful, the bread was so soft, me and my mom had just bought it an hour beforehand. I ate half of the Bolio because the ones we had bought were pretty big. I’m not sure what it was but something had started layering on top of the hot chocolate and I hate that part, so every time it would layer on top I would have to remove it, that wasn’t my mom’s fault so I wouldn’t take away points for that. But overall taste was a 9/10.
Lastly is visual, it looked like normal hot chocolate but with chocolate flakes in it. It had a layer of “skin” kind of but all 9 had to do was stir it and it would go away but it would come back after a few minutes. I’m not sure what it is though. It is still drinkable but I really hate how it feels, it feels so slimy in my mouth. The layer of skin is really visible because it covers all the smaller chocolate flakes. Overall the visual is an 8/10
To finish off the overall score is 7.5/10. The visuals, service, and taste were likable, and I would 100% drink it again. I would suggest that anybody who meets my mom tries her hot chocolate. I would recommend it more on a cold day if you need something a little warm to drink!
