Valentine’s Day as we all know is an annual day for romance, roses, cards, hearts, chocolates, and maybe even wedding rings. Or at least that’s what we’ve come to think. Valentine’s Day was started by a guy named Saint Valentine, Saint Valentine was a priest who secretly performed Christian-based marriages for soldiers and their lovers who couldn’t get married due to it being forbidden during the war. Eventually, Saint Valentine was discovered and tossed into prison where he soon fell in love with a beautiful mystery woman who was believed to be the daughter of the prosecutor. On the day of Saint Valentine’s execution, he wanted to send the mystery woman a love letter which he signed “From Your Valentine”.
