Have you ever been to an amusement park before?  This summer was the first time that I have ever gotten to go to an amusement park. The amusement park that I went to was Worlds of Fun. It was a great experience,  and I went with my dad Aaron and my older sister Hailey. We arrived at the park right when it opened. We rode most of the coasters more than 3 times each, but unfortunately the Prowler and the Zulu were shut down for the day and we didn’t get to ride them.

Right when we got into the park we went to the Mamba one of the most ridden roller coasters, and rode it at least 3 times before we moved on to the next ride. I was glad that we had, because after some time of riding the other rides we came back to find a humongous line. Before we went back my family had gone to get a Caricature, a caricature is a cartoon styled portrait, and then rode the Patriot and the Timberwolf.

We all got to go on the Rip Cord, the Rip Cord is a ride where you are strapped in and they pull high in the air and the let you go flying through the air on supports.  it was an absolute thrill and I really enjoyed it. Though you do have to pay extra to ride it. Right before we had gotten on the Rip Cord,  we got lunch within the amusement park. We left about an hour or more after the ride on the Rip Cord. It was hectic at the end of the day, because there were so many more people walking, running, and trotting than there were in the morning. People would push or nudge you out of the way at times  We did not end up eating dinner at Worlds of Fun, but when we did get home to Emporia.

After we had gotten home we showed my mom some of the prizes we had won and the caricature. There are so many fun things to do and rides to ride on. I would definitely recommend going. It is such a great experience!
