In basketball, the point of the game is to score more points than the other team. On the court, there is a big arc around both halves of the court. If you make it behind the line then it counts as 3 points, and if you make it inside that line then it’s only 2. Then if you get fouled while shooting, you’ll get free throws depending on where you shot the ball and if you made it or not. If you shoot the ball behind the 3-point line and fouled you’ll get 3 shots if you miss it, but if you make it you’ll get 1 free throw. If you shoot the ball inside the three-point and miss, you’ll get 2 free throws. But if you make it, you’ll only get 1. Another thing to know about basketball is when on defense you try to keep the other team from scoring, and when on offense you try to score.
