Have you watched or heard of UFC? Well, UFC is MMA’s biggest company and stands for Ultimate Fighting Championship. The first event was crazy with the format and who the winner was. You will also hear about my reaction and where to see it.
The format was different types of martial arts and a tournament style like jiu-jitsu vs kickboxing. There were only 3 rules: no eye gouging, no biting, and no groin strikes. The martial arts there were kickboxing, boxing, taekwondo, jiu jitsu, Sumo, kenpo, savate, and shootfighting. There were no time limits but all of the fights lasted at most 5 minutes.
The first fight was sumo vs Savate and Savate TKOd sumo in 24 seconds. The second fight was between kickboxing and kenpo. Kickboxing TKOd kenpo at 4:20. Jiu-jitsu beat boxing in 2:18 by submission. Then shootfighting beat taekwondo by submission in 1:49. In the semis, Savate went against kickboxing and won by TKO in 59 seconds. The next semi was jiu-jitsu vs shootfighting and jiu-jitsu won by submission in 57 seconds. So, in the finals, it was jiu-jitsu vs savate. Jiu-jitsu came on top with a submission in 1:40.
My review of the first round is that it was kinda boring except the fight between kenpo and kickboxing was the longest and was back and forth. The second round was good but quick with the first fight ending with a towel being thrown in to stop the fight. The other fight was quick and was a submission with jiu-jitsu winning pretty easily. Jiu-jitsu dominated Savate and won by getting a single which was okay but that choke was tight.
