While wrestling went by quickly, there were some cool moments. One was Jesse Mendez “doing a move called a spladle” against Brock Hardy for a minute straight. Another cool moment was Caleb Smith from Nebraska, a 15 seed, making it to the semis and honestly got robbed by refs. Another cool moment was Carter Starocci becoming a 4-timer(4-time NCAA champion) as a 9 seed. Then, his teammate at Penn State Aaron Brooks also became a 4-timer. Also in the finals, there was a grueling long finals match between Daton Fix of OSU and Vito Aruju of Cornell. The match was over 25 min just because of injury, blood, and reviewing calls, which happened a lot during that match. Vito ended up winning but Fix made it a great match.
