On March 26, 2024, a massive cargo ship crashed into the Baltimore Bridge. After losing power, the 984-foot vessel hit one of the drudge support beams at the speed of 8 knots(9 miles per hour). Though it was a violent crash into the concrete beam, all of the crew survived. Though the crew survived, there were 6 construction workers on the bridge that were close to the crash site. They went missing for a while until a truck holding 2 of the men was found submerged in water. Both of them died. The other 4 are presumed dead and have not been found.
