Are you ever home alone or just watching a show or movie and suddenly get hungry, and your sugar-tooth goes off? You want a quick snack but you don’t know what to make? Here are some basic snacks you could make that are super easy to make and that I recommend!
The 1st snack I recommend making is S’mores cookies! It’s basically a cookie with s’mores ingredients. It’s a great snack because who doesn’t like cookies!? Plus, if you make it correctly, it would be so worth it. I might just be lazy but I would use already-made dough and just add mini marshmallows and cut up graham crackers. Mini marshmallows might still be too big so I would also cut the mini marshmallows in half. But, if you want an actual recipe, here is one you could use! Handletheheat.com. I don’t think it should be too hard if you already know how to make cookies and plus you just add 2 extra ingredients to your normal cookie recipe. I think the total time it should take should be like 20-25 minutes max.
The 2nd yummy snack you could make is like marshmallow popcorn bars. It’s basically popcorn with melted marshmallows and any add-ons you’d like. It’s so good, the marshmallow definitely makes it a bit sweeter. I’ve had mini m&m add-ons to the popcorn and it was actually one of my favorite snacks to eat. I’ve even made extra for my family to also enjoy and they loved it! For the recipe you will need 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, plus more for the dish, 1-2 package plain microwave popcorn and 1 10-ounce bag marshmallows. You basically just melt the butter and marshmallows together and then once it’s melted and you pop the popcorn you just add it together and mix. If you want actual bars you can let it sit for 10-20 minutes or you can eat it as is. This is probably one of the easiest snacks I’ve made and it’s genuinely so good. Another snack could be just a simple chocolate bark! It could be chocolaty and salty if you add a salty type of topping to it. You first melt chocolate topped with nuts, dried fruit, coconut, candy canes, pretzels, white chocolate (also melt it and just swirl it on top of the melted chocolate and swirl it with a toothpick. It shouldn’t be hard to make since it’s just melted chocolate. Just use caution if you’re using a microwave, it could get super hot. A recipe you could use is Cookieandkate.com
The last idea could be puppy chow, or they could be also called “Muddy Buddies”. Ingredients you need will be semi-sweet chocolate or dark chocolate, peanut butter, Chex cereal, and powdered sugar! This recipe also shouldn’t be hard to make if you measure the ingredients correctly; like don’t add too much cereal if you don’t have enough chocolate or else it could ruin your puppy chow. It’s super sugary and sweet and just so good in general. You could also add peanut M&M’s and pretzels to it in a ziplock bag! A link you could use for a simple recipe is JoyFoodSunshine.com
Such simple snacks such as S’mores cookies, Marshmallow popcorn bars, Chocolate bark, and Puppy chow could just about make your day! If it’s your first time trying it, I would highly suggest using recipes and don’t just eyeball it. But, like I said, if they are made correctly, they could be so good!
