Has it ever angered you that somebody got to Main Event and you didn’t, or that somebody got to go on the game bus for 30 minutes and you didn’t? Well, I have some tips so you can be that person going on all the fun trips! First of all, you should go door-to-door as much as you can. I would recommend going to streets with houses closer together, so it’s quicker to get your money. Streets like Morningside or Crestview Drive wouldn’t be the best place to go to because of the long driveways and spaced-apart houses. My second tip is to be polite. Even if they don’t have anything to give you, you should always thank the person and tell them to have a nice day. The third and final tip I have is to not be intrusive to the people you want to give you donations. Don’t ring their doorbell 15 times or knock too much. I would probably leave about a minute after knocking/ringing because they probably aren’t interested if they haven’t answered by then. That was my guide on how to raise lots of money for a fundraiser. This year for the Read-a-Thon I’ve raised $229 using all of these tips, so I hope you can too. Remember to stay safe, and get lots of money. Toodles.
