On April 8th, 2024, was the championship game of March Madness. March Madness is the end-of-the-year tournament for some D1 teams if they were good enough. It was UConn vs. Purdue. The winner of the game would win March Madness. Both UConn and Purdue were the #1 seed in their divisions. To make it to the championship, Uconn beat Stetson, Northwestern, San Diego St., Illinois, and Alabama. Then, Purdue beat Grambling St., Utah St., Gonzaga, North Carolina St. In the championship game, Uconn beat Purdue 75-60. UConn would be the 8th team in history to win March Madness two years in a row.
