The process of getting into gifted is pretty complicated. The first thing that I had to do was take a test, it was kind of like a knowledge check. It just included a bunch of small fluency tests, some basic math skills, and many more things that are similar to those. Next, I had to take another test and this was a critical thinking kind of test. It had me repeat a line of numbers in the order they said, then they had me do the same thing but say them backwards. After that, they had me say them from biggest to smallest. Another part of it was defining words. At the start, they were just normal words but towards the end, the words didn’t even sound like they were English. At the end, they gave me some cubes that were half red and half white and I had to match them with a picture she showed me. To anyone going into gifted, the tests aren’t really that hard. Just relax and do your best.
