Did you know that 20,664 LEGO sets have been released? In this article, I will explain 4 of the different types of LEGO builders when they get one of those sets. If you are interested in this, then stick around until the end for a new and funny way to build LEGO. So, without further ado, let’s get into it.
To start us off, let’s have a very common builder: The Conserver. This is the type of person who buys 2 of each set they buy and builds one and keeps one in the box on a shelf for 20 years and sells it for 20 million dollars. This is fairly common and it makes sense because you get a fun LEGO set and also a bunch of money. One example of this builder is most LEGO YouTubers.
The second type of builder is also common. In fact, I would say that this is the most common type. The Build and Bomb. These people build sets they get/ receive and keep them around for a while. We fast forward to a day where the builder is building a different MOC(My Own Creation) and they need a certain piece, but the only place they have that piece is in a set that they have. Sometimes it is not even to build other stuff. Sometimes it is a pet that breaks it and the person just doesn’t want to put it back together. I am included in this builder type. And chances are you know many other people like this.
Builder number three is the museum caretaker. This type of builder is the type of person who builds a set, puts it on a shelf, and never touches it again. They also have a mental breakdown when a speck of dust lands on the set. Most LEGO YouTubers fall into this category because they are very sophisticated and they cannot touch their sets.
The fourth and final type of LEGO builder is more of a joke. This is the instruction fire type of LEGO builder. This person buys a set and before they build it they take out the instructions and throw them away. They then proceed to build whatever they want with the set pieces. Very few people do this with their sets. I, in fact, highly doubt that there is anyone who does this with all of their new models. But the YouTuber TD Bricks did this in a video.
I hope that you now know the difference between all of the types of LEGO builders. You should now know what type of builder you are. If you do not, then you need to re-read this. If you want to try out some of the other building types, you can buy some sets on LEGO or on BrickLink.
