Today I am going to be telling you about things that I learned in world studies.
The first thing that I am going to tell you about is the people. Some of the best friends that I met in the class were Sawyer Kash Spaulding, Takeo Dayne Medrano, Marcus Eli White, Benson Derek Welch, Adrian Christopher Cain, Logan Dean Thexton, Parker Michael Dvorak, and Evan Parker Mathews. Those were all some of the first people that I met at this school because I moved here in the middle of the school year.
The second thing I am going to talk about is about the things we wrote about. A thing that we wrote about in world studies are beat stories. We all picked a topic to write about and then we would have to write a certain amount of stories throughout the year. We would also write quick writes about anything we wanted to.
The last thing I am going to talk about is about how we learned about Kansas history. One thing that we learned about is the Ogallala Aquifer. One thing that I learned about the Ogallala Aquifer is that it is underground and it waters crops for farmers. Another thing that I learned about is Bloody Kansas. Some things I learned about Bloody Kansas was about how John Brown was a prominent leader in the abolitionist movement. I also learned about the debate over if Kansas should be a slave or free state. That was when people who wanted slavery and people who didn’t fought each other.
In conclusion, those were the things that I learned in world studies. I talked about the people, what we wrote about, and Kansas history. After you read my story you know 3 things that we learned about in world studies.
