Things you’ll be learning about are: Special features about the school, Amazing people who work at the school, and why it’s so special to me. As William Allen White said, “Since others have to tolerate my weaknesses, it is only fair that I should tolerate theirs.”
Special features about the school:
When you first saunter into the school and you look to the left and right of you, there are posters talking about William Allen White. I do suggest you read them, it’s really helpful for research. Every year the school does a random theme. Here are two of the past themes the school has done: Ocean and Western. Around the school there also are positive quote posters. One of them reads: “They may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel.” If you hang around the playground, you may notice a garden with painted rocks. Those rocks are rocks the past 5th graders have painted.
Amazing people who work at the school:
Ashlee Barrett is a 5th-grade teacher at William Allen White, she’s bright and affectionate! Ashley Clark is the librarian of the school, she’s gentle and helpful. Kelly Wagaman is a 3rd-grade teacher of the school, she’s funny, thoughtful, and awesome. Meghan Robison is a 5th-grade teacher, she was my 4th-grade and 5th-grade teacher, she’s lenient, bright, helpful, and just so amazing! Jill Hendry is a kindergarten teacher. She was my 3rd grade homeroom teacher and, she has the best smile ever!
Why I love the school:
William Allen White was the school I felt the best in. The Americus school was very crowded and I was there for only 1 ½ years. Timmerman was a big school and way too hard to navigate through. I was only there for 3 years. William Allen White has a big place in my heart because of the amazing teachers, nice principal, and great pares! Though I was only there for 2 ½ years, it was the best place EVER!!
When I went to William Allen White it felt different for me and I’m proud that was the last elementary school I went to. William Allen White is my favorite and a lot of people could agree! The teachers at William Allen White are amazing and changed everything for me! The principal may seem scary at first but he’s really cool and fun to be around. If you see the school or go to it, be proud that you are there and remember the name of the person it came from! Visit this site to learn more → https://waw.usd253.org/
