Have you ever wondered what do I want to watch? If you have, then you should watch The Rookie. If you don’t know what to watch, then The Rookie is for you. Is it a really good show and I think you will like it. It’s about how to become a good cop and some of the officers secretly date.

Characters
I am going to talk about different characters and why I love them.
Lucy Chen is an amazing officer. She made her first arrest on her first day. She saved Tim Bradford on the first day on the job. I think that she has an amazing talent for getting the hang of the job that fast. She is my favorite character in The Rookie.
Tim Bradford is caring and funny. He is always making sure Lucy Chen is feeling ok. He is responsible and is there for others. When he got shot, Lucy Chen was there to save him.
John Nolan is the oldest rookie in the show. He is 40 years old while everyone else is in their 20 or 30’s years old. He got a divorce from his wife and he got to keep his son.

Plot
I am going to talk about what The Rookie is about. Training/ Learning to be a good cop. You have to have a training officer to train you so you can get a good score on your final exam. They test you on different things. They have a plain clothes day where they watch their rookies work without their help.
Cops have special codes for when they arrest people. The show is about what to do in different types of situations. For example the episode Halloween Tim Bradford got his uniform torn and they were talking about how to avoid it.

Why I love The Rookie.
I love The Rookie mainly because it shows what it takes to be a good cop. When I grow up I want to be a cop and the reason is because I watched The Rookie. I thought if Tim, Lucy, and Angela made it look that easy, that it would be that easy. However, I think I’m wrong because my parents are telling me to pick something else.
Emotions. Some of the emotions that are in The Rookie are sad, happy, and surprised. In one episode one of the  officers died because the person that took him shot him and all the other officers were crying and I even cried a little.
The show also helps me bond with my sister. My sister showed me the show because she thought I would like it and I did. I love The Rookie so much now. She shows me different shows every now and then. I love how she is nice and thinks about me.

Conclusion
If you want to watch The Rookie, you can watch previous episodes on Hulu. The Rookie is my favorite show and it might also be yours. They are planning to drop the new episodes in January of 2025.
