Hear the ocean, feel the sand beneath your feet, close your eyes, and imagine the cars passing by big bright signs. And then, whoosh, you’re standing on top of one of the biggest structures in the world. You can smell the fresh macaroons and feel the rain dripping down your hand. If you want to go someplace like this, then first you need to know some tips and tricks for traveling.

Packing is one of the most important things that you need to master. First thing, you need to make sure that you’re packing for the weather. Like, let’s say you’re going to Mexico. You don’t want to pack only pants and long sleeves. What I like to do is look at the weather ahead of time so that you know what to pack. But also let’s say that you are going to Mexico. Maybe you want to pack an outfit that is pants and a t/shirt, so you have the option in case the weather changes. You also want to minimize your space, which starts with minimizing what you bring. Now I know that it’s hard to not over-pack but trust me. I used to always do that, but now I know all the tricks, like how you want to pack for the exact amount of days that you will be there plus one extra outfit. You also want to make sure that you are using things that you can match with anything. Black shorts are amazing to pack as well with jean shorts. Or, if you need pants, black leggings and jeans are nice because they can match with anything . Also, try to pack lots of things in one suitcase using Packing cubes

Passing the time can be really difficult, but there are ways to do it. Something that me and my family take on every trip is Uno, and, let me tell you, this is great for in the airport, at the dinner table, at your destination, and if you want you can even play on the airplane. Something else that is nice are just a simple deck of cards because you can do so many different games with them. Here are some places to sit if your gate is not open yet. Either sit somewhere close by your gate or somewhere near the food places but definitely not right next to them because then there will be so many people walking past you and it will also be the loudest place. Try and sit next to an outlet so you can charge your device. One other factor that you might want to take into consideration when figuring out where to sit in the airport is the bathroom. You want to be near them or at least know where they are so if you have 10 minutes until you board you can be close enough to run there and get back. (PS..Go before getting on the plane, they are much cleaner). The last thing is that you want to make sure that you have activities that don’t require electronics like coloring books or just a notebook is nice. And make sure to pack snacks because the airport ones are really expensive. One last thing, make sure to bring a water bottle that is refillable. I really enjoy the collapsible ones because they are a great thing to save space when not using them.

The last thing I am going to tell you about is the places I have been and some things to do there. So, the first place I visited was Mexico. I love Mexico because it is such a beautiful place. and some places I suggest going if you want to stay at a resort, I think Playa del Carmen is a great resort. Also, if you want to see more, I will put a website at the end. Some other places I went to were Paris and Italy. My family and I went this past summer and it was probably one of my favorite trips I have ever been on. If you’re going to go to these places make sure you check out the Eiffel Tower. It is really one of the best places you will ever visit. My family and I went and it had the best view. And, if you are going to go to Italy, then make sure that you visit Rome and the Colosseum. It is such a good historical site and there is so much history in Rome. so, if you like history, (Like me) then you have to check it out. Some other good places are London and Ireland which are honestly so green and beautiful with lots of castles.

Now here’s what we learned: you have to pack smart and have things to keep you busy, also things that don’t require electronics. And what I learned and fun things to do.
