Have you ever got to visit countries while going back or to America? Have you ever got to visit famous places when you went to some countries? If not, I’ll tell you my experience as an overseas traveler from Pakistan.
My story starts back in my Home country, Pakistan. I was just chilling in my home, watching YouTube while my family was just talking to my aunts and cousins until our Dad busted in. Our Dad announced that we are moving to the United States! I heard this and jumped up in excitement, and so did my family. Then our Dad told us the plan on how we are gonna move to the United States.
So first, We pack up our stuff and clothes and sell some of the furniture to our neighbors. Second, go to Lahore and wait there until the day of our flight, and third, head for Multan International Airport and board the flight.
And that’s how it went. We boarded the plane and flew to our first stop, Jeddah, Saudia Arabia (or Saudi Arabia for you Americans). We then landed at the airport and went to the airport’s big lounge. The exciting thing about the airport’s lounge is that there are numerous brands like McDonald’s, KFC, and other stores. And the coolest thing I saw was a freaking huge pendulum in the middle of the lounge. like it was SO HUGE that it was the size of three people. Anyway, our flight came on the info panel, so we got our stuff, rushed to the terminal gate, and waited for the terminal bus to arrive. When the bus arrived, we got on it and the bus started to take us to the plane. We then boarded the bus and boarded the plane. 5 minutes after the plane took off, I dozed off.
About 4 hours later, I woke up very tired with groggy eyes. I then checked my seat’s ES (Entertainment System) and found out that we were landing in around 5 minutes in Istanbul, Turkey. So I got my seatbelt buckled and got ready for probably the bumpiest landing I’ll ever experience. But to my surprise, the plane buttered (meaning that it landed smoothly). So it went beyond my expectations. We got off the plane and went outside the airport to find a taxi cab and we luckily found one (after 2 hours). We got in the taxi cab and drove to our hotel. We then stayed there for 3 days and also got to visit some famous places like the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque and the Dolmabahçe Palace. Then, after our stay, we got in our taxi cab and headed towards the airport. While heading to the airport, I got to see some airplanes landing and taking off, which made my excitement go up beyond the stars. Then we reached the airport, we got our stuff on a luggage carrier, and went to our terminal gate. After arriving at our gate, we went through some security checks (and also made jokes with the security guards because they were so funny and nice). We boarded the plane and then the plane took off to the skies, on the way to Chicago.
We then landed in Chicago. After 2 months, we moved to Florida to meet up with my cousins and nephew & niece. After living for 3 to 4 months in Florida, we then moved here to Emporia, Kansas. And there, my friend, is where the story finally ends.
If you wanna know how I am doing right now, I’m studying at Emporia Middle School, having fun with my good friends, and preparing myself to become a pilot. I am also having a good time with my family, going to amazing places and stuff. The lesson I learned throughout the whole journey is traveling is the most exciting thing you can do. It allows you to explore the world and its deep cultures and makes you admire the places on earth.
