What type of class do you like? A class with a fun teacher, lots of freedom, lots of work time? Maybe you want a class with a bunch of smart kids that can help you with anything and everything. Well, that pretty much explains my World Studies class with Mr. Hawley. This story can help you to figure out if you want to join world studies.
Work time
Mr Hawley, our teacher, gives us a lot of work but he gives us more than enough time to finish every assignment on time. World studies means you get this class twice because he does not only teach social studies he also teaches ELA, so I have him for the first and sixth block of every day. During the first block he teaches social studies, and during the sixth block we have work time for whatever we started the day before.
Teacher
Mr Hawley is an amazing teacher. Mr Hawley is super funny, he allows you to do what you need to do, and he makes things so easy to understand. Before this class, I didn’t know where to put commas and when my teachers said to use AAAWWUBBIS I didn’t know what they were talking about. But Mr Hawley was able to put it in a way that made me understand.
People
The people in World Studies had to be recommended by the teacher they had last year so everyone here are good students that do their work. We all know how to get our work done, so we are able to talk and hang out for the rest of the class. Everyone knows each other so we are able to easily work together.
This is why I think that World Studies is the best class. Because we have more than enough time to do our work, an amazing teacher, and people that we know. If you want to join World Studies, get a good grade in sixth grade, try to get along with people, and make sure you’re nice to your teachers.
