On July 10th of 2024, a baby pygmy hippopotamus was born and quickly took over the internet. Her name is Moo Deng, translating to “bouncy pork” in Thai, a type of meatball. That adorable hippo was birthed by her father Tony and her mother Jonah, and has two full siblings Nadet and Moo Tun, and four half siblings Ko, Kanya, Phalo, and Moo Wan. Seeing Moo Deng will really raise your appreciation of hippos more unless you’re just a monster.
