Have you ever read a book that transports you to another world, and makes you forget where you are? I’m talking about Harry Potter characters. Today I’m going to tell you about my top 6 favorite characters, why they’re important to the book, some background knowledge, and what house they’re in.
My favourite character in Harry Potter is Harry Potter. I know it’s the most basic character, but I have a good reason. Harry potter is the reason the book exists. Harry potter is brave, smart, and always ready for adventure. You also get to know Harry Potter the best out of anyone who’s at Hogwarts or in the whole book. Harry Potter’s parents died when Harry was young. He was adopted by his aunt and uncle. They never told Harry that he was a wizard. Harry potter is in Gryffindor.
My second favorite character is Draco Malfoy. Draco is Harry’s bully. Draco is always the person who blames Harry for anything and everything. Draco also will normally frame Harry as well. Draco keeps the books and movies going, without him half of the stuff wouldn’t happen and it would be a lot more boring. Draco is a rich kid and he uses his favourite line so many times it’s iconic “My father will hear about this.” Draco’s father and mother are both death eaters (Voldemorts followers). Maybe Draco will become a death eater in the end. Draco is in Slytherin.
My third favorite character is Hermione Granger. Hermione is one of Harry’s best friends. Hermione is really smart. Hermione is the person who says that something is a bad idea, they do it anyway, and she comes to get them out of trouble. Hermione is a mud blood (a wizard born from two muggles which are humans). Hermione is really nice and she is normally found in a library. Hermione is in Gryffindor.
My fourth favourite character is Albus Dumbledore. Albus is best known as Dumbledore. Dumbledore is the headmaster of Hogwarts. Dumbledore is also the person who gave Harry to his aunt and uncle. According to Harry Potter WIKI, “Dumbledore’s father died in Azkaban when Albus was young, while his mother and sister were later accidentally killed. His early losses greatly affected him early on, even at his death many years later, but, in turn, made him a better person.”
My fifth favorite character is Ronald (Ron) Weasly. Ron is Harry’s best friend as well. Hermione, Ron, and Harry have a trio that a lot of people started to call the golden trio. Ron was there with Harry from the beginning. Where’s Ron? He’s with Harry. Ron is the sixth child of Molly and Aruther. Ron has a little sister then five brothers. Ron comes from a poorer family. They reuse everything. Hand-Me-Downs are all that Ron knows. Ron has a lot of expectations to live up to. According to Harry Potter WIKI, “Everyone expects me to do as well as the others, but if I do, it’s no big deal, because they did it first.” Ron is in Gryffindor.
Last but not least, Luna Lovegood. Luna isn’t really important to the series but I like her character. She’s different and doesn’t care what people say about her. Luna is called crazy by everyone. Her nickname is Lunny Luna. Luna is an only child. Her mother accidentally died while experimenting with spells when Luna was nine, so she was raised by her father. Her father (Xenophilius) is a wizard who worked as the editor of The Quibbler magazine. They live in a house shaped like a rook chess piece. Luna is in Ravenclaw.
