Have you ever been listening to your favorite artist, and wishing you could see them live? Well, that’s what happened to me when I got to go to the Olivia Rodrigo concert. It left me with memories I would never forget.
For my 12th birthday and Christmas I was surprised with tickets for the Olivia Rodrigo concert in Kansas City. I got them around December of 2023, but I had to wait a bit because the concert was on July 26, 2024. On March 22, 2024 Guts Spilled; the deluxe version of the album Guts was released, so I had 5 new songs to learn before the concert. For the concert I wore an Olivia Rodrigo Guts Tour shirt and a black skirt. When my dad and I got downtown we went to a pizza place next to the T-Mobile Centre and got a cheese pizza. At the T-Mobile Centre, we went into the Founders Club so I got to skip the crowded line. In the Founders Club I got an Olivia-Rodrigo-themed drink with a rock candy stick.
When the doors to the arena opened, we went to find our seats. Our seats were left of the stage and a few rows up from the floor. Before it started we went to a merch stand and I got an Olivia Rodrigo light up wand. During the concert it was very loud but it was super fun. Her opening song was “Bad Idea Right?”. The encore was “Good 4 You” and “Get Him Back”.
The concert was around 2 hours, but the overall time there was around 3 or 4 hours. It took about an hour to get out of the parking garage since there were so many people there. After the concert, my dad and I just went straight home since it was around 11pm or 12am. The car ride home was quiet because I was so tired.
That was my experience at the Olivia Rodrigo Guts Tour. It changed my life forever because it was my first time seeing a huge artist live for the first time. If you want to watch the concert, there is a movie on Netflix called “Olivia Rodrigo Guts World Tour”.
