Do you believe in magic? Well, if you do, then you’d probably love to read the Harry Potter books. Or maybe reading isn’t for you, so you’d like to watch the movies instead. Today I’m going to tell you about how I started to read the Harry Potter series, why the Harry Potter books are better than the movies, and why I continued to read this series.
I started reading the Harry Potter series when I was in Second grade. My older sister was watching the movies, and I would watch them with her. She told me, “If you like the movies, you’ll love the books”. She gave me the first book and told me to try to read it. I read it super fast and I loved it, so she bought the rest of the series for our family. Now all of us have read the series at least twice.
People should read the Harry Potter series because there is so much that happens, you can’t only read the first book and then not read the next ones as well. You never know what’s going to happen, thanks to all the random plot twists that keep your head spinning. Also, I love that it shows the possibility of magic. It shows that anything is possible if you have the mind to do it. All the Harry Potter characters are very well put together; you can see how the characters look, you can feel their emotions, and you can almost see what’s happening.
The Harry Potter books are so much better than the movies because the books describe everything so much better. In the movies things move on fast and it’s kinda hard to keep up with everything that’s happening. Also, in the movies, they miss so many important details, like Peeves, the pesky poltergeist, who was cut from the script and never even properly tried on screen. In the seventh Harry Potter book, it gives a lot more information about Voldemort and his past.
Well, now you know a series with magic and you also know, how I started to read the Harry Potter series, why people should read the Harry Potter books, and why I continued to read this series. Now you can read the Harry Potter books and look for the different details in the book and the movies.
