Looking around seeing amazing costumes. Loads of anxiety from all the people. Have you ever been to a place that changed your life, or made your dream come true? Cause I have!!! This special event changed my life and made me better with my social skills a lot.
It was the last Friday of spring break and I was getting ready for when my Aunt was going to pick me up. A little after that my mom yelled at me that my Aunt was here. I said my last goodbyes to my mom as I got into the car. It was me, my Aunt, and my two little cousins. We drove to Walmart to pick up some things, and we took a whole hour to get the stuff. We drove to her house so we can get everything ready for when going to the Comic-Con. The next day we left around 2 pm to head toward Kansas City. It took about 2 hours to get there. Once we got there, we had to stay at a hotel for the night. The room was small but nice, my grandma and I took care of my littlest cousin (she’s a baby) while my Aunt and Uncle went to get food. We had some yummy pizza from Pizza Hut!! Everyone went to bed around 8 pm while I stayed up all night cause I couldn’t sleep. Sunday morning we all woke up around 6 am to go to the cafe downstairs. I was really tired but not so tired where I would crash out. After eating breakfast we all went back to the room to get the rest of our stuff ready. It took us a whole 2 hours to get everything ready. We all got dressed and packed up everything. My uncle checked everyone out and we all left to go to the Comic-Con. Once we got there finding parking was so hard!! We spent like 20 minutes trying to find parking. But once we got parked we started walking toward the place that held the Comic-Con (I don’t know what the place was called.)
We all got inside and got our wristbands. We headed to floor 3 where all the cool stuff was!!! It took like 10 mins to find a free opened elevator. And oh my gosh, we got to floor 3 and everything was covered with anime, DnD, and the most AWESOME things ever!!! I only had $90 to spend, so picking what to buy was so hard!!! After looking around for a bit we got food. My Aunt, Uncle, and the 2 younger ones (They have 3 children, a baby, a 4 year old, and a 6 year old) went to walk around while I, my grandma, and the baby stayed to wait. I had a mini panic attack a couple of times due to the amount of people. We all sat at a table to put our stuff down, we all walked around again after that. So with my $90 I got 2 pins, 2 phone charms (that I use as key chains), 2 stickers, and a giant Sailor Moon box filled with random Sailor Moon things. The mystery box held, 1 blanket, 1 bandanna, 1 notebook and pen, 2 lanieres, and 1 box of playing cards. We went on another walk around for a little and sat back down. My grandma and I got chocolate-covered strawberries and boba. Both were super yummy!! We walked around and found the Star Wars part of the Comic-Con, it was super cool!!! My Aunt and Uncle went to say hi to the actors that were at the Comic-Con, during that I took a 1 hour long nap cause I was really tired and was hurting really bad. After that we all left to go back home.
The drive was a lot slower than when we were driving up there. My Aunt dropped me off at my house. I was super happy and told my mom and dad about everything!! Everything that happens, everything I got, and all the pictures I took!!! My hair was a mess when I took it down. My head was stained with a pink-ish purple dye, it was super funny!!
This was my first Comic-Con ever!! I’ve always dreamed of going to a Cospo (a place where anime cosplayers go, and it’s only anime characters being cosplayed.) So when my Aunt asked me if I wanted to go, I was filled with so much joy!! Though I had a panic attack, it was honestly the best day ever!!! If you want to go to the next Comic-con (which happens every year) I suggest searching it up on Google cause I don’t know myself.
