Do you have annoying siblings? Do you wish that you could just go back in time to see if you could relax with them there? Well, what if you could do that, but your siblings came with you and now you’re stuck in the 90s with them? That’s kinda how my moms life went. These stories deal with 2 older sisters and an older brother. So, read my story about trying to deal with annoying siblings and terrible, and I mean terrible, videos you have to listen to in school.
Me :How was school
Mom :Mom: liked elementary school. I got to be in mediation, which meant I got to break up fights and I could help the teachers.
Me :What are some things you could do back then
Mom :We had a 4th grade teacher that would let us catch snakes and he would keep them for us
Me :How were your parents
Mom :They were cool. Every year they would take me to worlds fun for my birthday. Dad was strict of course
Me :Do you have anything to say about how different stuff is now compared to back then
Mom :Schools have loosened up. Schools have been less strict. They don’t have to write cursive, and you guys use much more technology than we used to
Me :What did you do on a weekend
Mom :We went to the skating rink a lot. They had a lot of cool stuff like lock-ins where we would stay in until 7 pm to 7 am. We would go fishing and lots of other stuff
Me : What kinds of video games did you have? What was your favorite game, and on which console
Mom :They had free personal pan pizzas for a program called Booket, and we would beg mom to get free food and go play at the arcade. So we had an excuse because we would get free food, but she had to pay for the other stuff like the arcade. We had the Super Nintendo, then we got the PS2 around 5th or sixth grade. We got the Nintendo in elementary My favorite game was on the Nintendo. It was Super Mario All Stars because I could play all the Marios and I guess Donkey Kong was my favorite and Crash Bandicoot
Me :Who was the favorite kid and were you jealous
Mom :My brother. He was the only boy and sometimes he got a lot of attention. We were always on the road for his sports. I got forgotten a lot, even at my own softball game and my mom’s basketball game.
Me :Why do you always say that you are the favorite even though you were not the favorite in the past
Mom : No, I don’t think I’m the favorite anymore. I was just joking about that. I don’t really know who the favorite is anymore. At least according to my mom I’m the favorite
Me : How expensive was a meal at Mcdonalds
Mom :It was like five or six bucks, but I could out at a restaurant including tip for only 20 bucks. Everything is so much more expensive and were about to hit a recession
Me :Were you popular
Mom :No but I was well known but I wasn’t popular. Yeah we went to the movies, we went out to skating rink, and we had sleepovers
Me :Did you do any pranks on your sisters and your brother
Mom :Yes we mostly did jumpscares and some nair pranks were we would put this in there shampoo and there hair would fall out and my brother shaved off half my eyebrow
Me :Did you have fun stuff back then that we don’t have now
Mom :We had different colored ketchup and Yogos, which were little yogurt balls with different flavors and swoops which were pringle-shaped chocolate chips
Me :What would you change about your life
Mom :I would invest early to make that green and live comfortable
Me :Did you hate your siblings
Mom :Mostly not I but I did hate that I didn’t feel noticed
Me : Which sibling did you like the most
Mom : It varied from day to day they were all my favorite at one point
Me : What did you learn from your siblings
Mom : I learned a lot of things like how to jump rope, ride a bike, kindness compassion empathy
Me : Were you the scapegoat for your siblings {if not, who took the blame the most}
Mom : We all blamed each other but your uncle blamed me and a lot of other people
Me : Do you wish that you could bring some things from the 90s to now
Mom : The food and the other cool stuff from Pizza Hut and the simplicity of the nineties
Me : You were the youngest in the family. Do you think that you were the golden child or is that fake
Mom :The golden child varies with time
Well, that is all. Try and ask your parents about when they were kids and maybe they will share the same experiences that my mom shares. Try and see if they have fun stories about how it was and maybe you could learn a lot. Try asking your uncles to get their opinion on how your parents were and if you do find something interesting then maybe you could find some things you wish you could bring from the past into now.
