Did you know that cheerleading has been a thing for just over a century? Have you ever wondered what a cheerleader has to do at a game? If you have, then this story is for you. I will be telling you what we wear, what it’s like at the games, and what we do after the game.

For your outfit, you have to wear the cheerleading uniform. You also have to put your hair in a high ponytail with a bow. The color of the bow depends on what the coach says, but it could either be white or black. The last thing you need is your white cheerleading shoes.

When you’re at the game, around 5 people go on one side of the basketball hoop and 5 people go on the other side. For the first half of the game, 1 person will call out a cheer and in the second half a new person will call out cheers. If there is a 1 minute timeout or a quarter change, we go out in front of the bleachers and cheer. We usually stunt when we are in front of the bleachers.

After the game, if our team wins, we will do a tunnel celebrating their win and they will run under our arms. Then, we go to the gym and break it down. After that, we get our bags and leave. But if we want, we can stay and watch the B team game. The next day at practice we talk about what went well and what we could work on and then we work on it.
