Can you do a wheelie? Not everyone can. It’s not that common of a skill. In this story, I’m going to teach you how to do a wheelie. But before you do cool tricks, you need to have some safety equipment like a helmet and glasses if you’re doing it in the woods or somewhere that could damage your eyes if you hit something, because tricks are straightforward to mess up. Sometimes there is little room for error, so if you mess up, you need that extra cushion, like your helmet.
It is one of the most popular tricks you can do on your bike, A Wheelie is a trick where you can lift your front wheel off the ground, and the first thing you need to do is make sure you are in a easy to pedal gear or something that feels comfortable (most of the time in a mid to high gear.)
Then you go up a 15 to 20 degree uphill (slight uphill), so you are good at mountain biking and want to do something different that you have never thought of. Tricks on bikes can be fun and difficult because they take a lot of practice. So, I will tell you how to do a wheelie with your bike.
Since it is easier to get your front wheel up (once you get the trick down, you should be able to adapt to a flat terrain too). You go up the hill at a decent pace and pull back on your handlebars, leaning backwards (you don’t try to get it up by jumping, only by leaning and pulling backwards with your body weight). You should practice that until you get it. All you need to add is holding it and pedaling with it, and tying it all together.
With that, you should be able to do a wheelie if you have enough practice. But you always need to know that you need to have safety, especially for a wheelie, because you are angled backwards, and if you pull too hard, it could very potentially be harmful and can end up very bad Here is a video on how to wheelie.
