Currently, everyone has been giving their opinion on world leaders. Today I’m going to talk about the GREAT leaders of history.

Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson was a great president and leader. He has done so many things to help America be more successful. He was also a founding father of the United States. He was in the office March 4th, 1801 to March 4th, 1809. “Jefferson’s keen interest in religion and philosophy earned him the presidency of the American Philosophical Society and even though he shunned organized religion, Jefferson was influenced by both Christianity and deism” (Thomas Jefferson ). He was also a writer of the U.S. Declaration of Independence, the first secretary of state, second vice president, and the third president of the United States.

Abraham Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln was an “American statesman and lawyer who served as the 16th president of the United States” (Wikipedia). He had led the United States through The Civil War which was a bloody war.Approximately 620,000 people died because of this war. As such, he had preserved the “Union, paved the way for the abolition of slavery, strengthened the federal government, and modernized the economy” (Abraham ). He had also brought the emancipation of slaves.

Martin Luther King Jr.  

Martin Luther King Jr. was an “American Baptist minister and activist who became the most visible spokesperson and leader in the civil rights movement from 1954 through 1968” (Wikipedia). He was best known to be the best vocal spokesperson for his advancement of civil rights using his disposition of non-violence and civil disobedience based on his Christian beliefs and he got that from Mahatma Gandhi. He has helped black people or people of color to get help from his speech. He has impacted so many lives.

George Washington

George Washington was a great leader. He was the 1st president of the United States! Also, he was an American Statesman and a soldier. He has shown many people the right choices and everything! “He is popularly considered the driving force behind the nation’s establishment and came to be known as the ‘father of the country’, both during his lifetime and to this day” (Washington).

Alexander the Great

Alexander the Great was actually great at what he did. He was the king of the Ancient Greek kingdom of Macedonia. He was also in control when he ruled the military campaign throughout Asia and Africa.  Alexander created the largest empire and was also undefeated throughout his battles. After his dad’s assassination, “he succeeded his father to the throne and inherited a strong kingdom and an experienced army” (Wikipedia).  He was awarded many awards for what he did for the Greeks.

In conclusion, these men have done really amazing things throughout history. They helped to make the future to be better! I wouldn’t know what to do if I was in their place. They’re great men and they helped people that had problems. In this generation, leaders still follow the example of the leaders in the past!
