The Death of a Bachelor  is the first album Brendon Urie did himself after his band, Panic! at the Disco, split. I thought DOAB (Death of a Bachelor)  was an amazing album, I think the songs were heartfelt, and they did relate to his life. I will be rating the album over the music videos for the album, my favorite song on the album and my least favorite song on the album.

Music videos are a good way to promote a song, and big part of a song on YouTube. Brendon currently has only 7 music videos for DOAB on YouTube but they’re all big hits; with all of them having over 10 million views on YouTube! The best being, Victorious.

Personally, my favorite song on the DOAB album would have to be, “Crazy= Genius”. I love this song because the lyrics sound smart, but they don’t make much sense if you think about it, and is just a fun song in general. This song doesn’t have a music video yet, but if it did I bet it would have a similar crazy party feel to, “Don’t Threaten Me with a Good Time”. Even though this song doesn’t have that “emo” factor Panic! at the Disco had on their older albums, it’s still a good song to jam out to.

I don’t hate Golden Days; it’s just out of all the songs on the DOAB album it’s my least favorite. There’s just something I don’t like about songs about age when the singer is still pretty young. Brendon was just 29-28 years old when DOAB came out in 2016, so I think he should be embracing his youth, not dwelling on getting older. Even though this song is nice, I just think he isn’t old enough to be worrying about getting older; he’s still so young!

I hope you take my views on Death of a Bachelor into consideration, and check out Brendon’s album and band. I love Panic! at the Disco, and I hope you give him and other similar bands like, My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy and Twenty One Pilots a try.
