What causes you to stress out? Did you know that, “5.1% out of 10% people have stress in the US” (CBS). “Stress response is perfect in the short-term, but can cause damage if it goes on for weeks or years. Raised levels of cortisol for prolonged periods can dampen down your immune system and decrease the number of brain cells impairing your memory” (Stress Brian).

Do you know what causes stress? All kinds of things can cause stress such as: being unhappy with your job, having a heavy workload, too much responsibility, making a lot of decisions, working under dangerous conditions, and  having to give speeches in front of a lot of people. You could be stressed over: the death of a friend or family member, divorce, loss of job, getting married, moving to a different house, emotional problems, a traumatic event, or school.

Do you know how to prevent stress? Look at your lifestyles, do you not spend enough time with family, or do you spend too much time with family?  Not getting enough sleep can cause you to have a lot of stress, because when you sleep your body is recovering from all the stress it had that day. Also, watch your eating habits. Don’t just eat just junk food, because to much junk food can lead to stress. Get support from a family member, friends, co workers, or support groups. Some people’s stress can turn into depression.

Do you know some stress relievers? To prevent stress you can meditate, yoga, and play games, some of the games that might help, are to go outside and play games like: soccer, football, volleyball, or any other sport. More things you can do are: laugh more, music therapy, take a walk, practice time management, reduce caffeine intake, bake, breathing exercises, art therapy, or play with slime. Here are some slime recipes: Slime, and Fluffy Slime.

I hope that if you have stress, and you wondered what it was from, this might have helped you solve that. If you try some of these relievers I hope it relieved some stress.
