On Thursday, August 30, 2018 the Emporia Middle School football team had a great day. The first game of the football season was a double win for the 7th and 8th-grade football team against French Middle School. So today I interviewed two of the 7th-grade players.

This is the interview I did with one of the 7th-grade football players named Calvin

Question: What was the hardest thing to overcome to beat  French?

Calvin: “Nothing really just we were better”

Question: How well do you think you played?

Calvin: “I think I did really good because I caused a lot of fumbles and got a lot of tackles”

Question: What position do you play?

Calvin: ” I was a wide receiver, and linebacker”

Question: How long have you been playing football?

Calvin: “I’ve been playing for 1 year”

Question: What was the preparation you went through to be prepared for French?

Calvin: “Just focusing on the game and nothing else”

Here are the questions and answers for the second interview Kyler.

Question: Was French Middle School a big sized team?

Kyler: “They’re actually pretty small”

Question: How happy were you to achieve a double win for the first game of the season?

Kyler: “It was pretty rewarding for both grades”

Question: what position do you play?

Kyler: ” uh I was offensive tackle and defensive end”

Question: What is the best part about being a part of such a good team?

Kyler: “Some of the teammates were fun and supporting”

Question: Do you think you can do better against French next year?

Kyler: “Yes because I am doing a lot of stuff to get ready for next year like wrestling and weights”

Question: Do you think you can beat French next year?

Kyler: “Yes but the 7th-graders next year aren’t as big or athletic”

This year EMS football had a great start. The first game was a double win for both 7th and 8th-grade. I got to interview two of the 7th-grade players and get their opinion on the game. Overall French was not as big team and the EMS players are already getting prepared for next year.
