Have you ever had or wanted a puppy? Well, I have one, and her name is Coco. She is a dachshund, wiener dog, and Yorkie mix. Even though I have had her the longest, I will never forget the day that I got her.

The morning that I got Coco was Christmas Eve, I had seen her before in one of my teacher’s classrooms, but I had no idea that I was going to get her. She was the only girl in the litter of four, and she was the only one that was black, brown, and tan. The three other puppies were tan. On the way over to my teacher’s house I did not know where we were going, but when I got to my teacher’s house I knew that we were going to get her. 

When I got to my teacher’s house, we walked inside and I saw all four puppies. All four of them were eating Christmas lights off of the Christmas tree and Coco bit them so hard she got electrocuted and turned the Christmas tree off. I really wanted a female puppy so that is why I picked her out. But I also picked her out because she was the sweetest puppy in the litter because she ran up to me right away and I knew that she was the one.

On the way home I sat with a blanket on my lap and she fell asleep. When we got home she fit in my hand but she was so chubby that she fell out. She slept with me in my bed the night that we brought her home. The next morning  she woke me up by licking my face. She was the best Christmas present ever.

Coco is seven years old now and she is now an outside dog because we live on a farm. There will be sometimes that Coco will be able to come inside but not very often. But like I said we have two other dogs and they like to play with each other all the time. Coco is the best dog ever because she plays with me all the time. I could never live without her.
