Did you know there are 43 Quintilian possibilities for a Rubik’s cube! The exact number is 43,252,003,274,489,856,000. That’s a lot of numbers. Read some more to find out what the world record for 3×3 is.

Different Cubes. Yes there are more than one type of Rubik’s cube. There are so many types that half aren’t even cubes! There are 1×1, 2×2, 3×3 (which is the original) all the way up to 17×17!!!!! Now I will talk about non-cube cubes, confusing right? There are Pyraminx, Megaminx, Skewbs, and even gear cubes.

Professionals. There are people who solve Rubik’s cubes for a living, and they’re really fast. Felix Zemdegs is from Australia and is one of the best cubers (that’s what we’re called) ever. He has had the world record for almost every cube there is. Max Park won the WC2017 and is just as good as Felix. He is actually getting better than Felix and there like the top 2 best cubers ever.

World Records. The world record for the fastest solve ever as of 2020 is 4.22 seconds! There are many world records for 3×3 like the one handed, with your feet, blindfolded, and even multiple blindfolded. There are world records for every cube ever. One of my favorite cubes, the pyraminx, has a world record of just 0.91 seconds!
