Interview with Lenia

I asked Lenia from the EMS a few questions for an interview. The questions I asked her were just to get to know her better, these are the Q’s & A’s.

I asked Lenia what her favorite part of middle school is and she replied with “Probably getting to see friends everyday and unlike elementry sitting in one class every day we go to seven classrooms.” I really agree with her answer, I love the fact that we get to move around the whole school instead of being cramped in a small room for 8 hours. What subject do you want to be most successful in why? I really liked her answer because she says that she wants to be successful in her hardest subject. Her answer was “Math because it is my hardest subject and if I was successful I would be happy.” Do you ride the school bus or car and why? She replied with “I ride in a car, actually me and my friend carpool. My mom takes me and my friend to school everyday and her mom picks us up. I don’t really know why our moms set it up .“

Do you like 7th or 6th grade better why? And I agree with her answer on this question too. Her answer was “6th grade because I had a friend on my team and the work was easier obviously.” I have always thought that having a friend while doing your work was always better. What is your favorite subject and why? And her answer was “Social studies because I love learning about history.” What is the biggest difference between 6th and 7th grade and why? Her answer was “Probably all the new administrators and all the new rules like the 1 minute bell and the 6th graders starting at a different time.” I agree with her answer. Having new administrators was a big difference.  Do you play any sports, Which sport, Why, and would you change your decision to play it? And her answer was “I play cross country because i’m not good at any sport requiring a ball and no i would not regret changing it I really like cross country.” I play football but cross country has always been my 3rd choice for a sport, Basketball is 2nd.  Who is your role model? Her answer was “Jane Goodman, she studied gorillas or apes, one of those primates.” She said that Jane died doing what she loved and that is why She looks up to her.

If you could have any job in the world what would it be and why? And her answer was Ooo there is this job where you watch netflix and you right suggestions and that is where all the suggestions come from. Me personally watch netflix all of the time so I didn’t know that there was a job for that I just thought that people that watched the show or movie would write a suggestion.  What is your favorite movie. And her answer to that question was, “Christmas Vacation it is really funny and I just like Christmas movies in general.” I’ve never heard of this movie but I also like christmas movies.  Do you think that a movie or a book is better, why? And her answer was “A book duh, They are original, They are better, and quite frankly they are just awesome’.” If you could tell the 6th graders coming into 7th grade next year, what would you tell them? And her answer was “It’s not that hard, It’s not like movies..” If you could change your color team, would you? And to what team? And her answer was “No because I like all my teachers.” Did you go on vacation this summer? Where did you go? And her answer was “Yes Minneapolis, Minnesota.”

After the interview me and her talked a little about her answer and I thought that they were really good. She told me that she liked the interview and that she would do it again. I thanked her for her time and left.
