Have you ever thought about how many lives are lost per year from just taking a drink of something? Alcohol can cause so many different diseases. It can cause drunk driving, and even change your appearance. So, for these reasons alcohol should be banned.

Alcohol can cause many different diseases. According to, www.cdc.gov › alcohol › fact-sheets › alcohol-use, “excessive alcohol use can lead to the development of chronic diseases and other serious problems including: High blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, liver disease, and digestive problems. Cancer of the breast, mouth, throat, esophagus, liver, and colon.” This means that, if you drink too much alcohol it can cause many awful diseases and even death.

Another reason alcohol should be banned is because drunk driving can cause many awful things. https://www.nhtsa.gov/risky-driving/drunk-driving says, “Every day, almost 30 people in the United States die in drunk-driving crashes — that’s one person every 50 minutes. These deaths have fallen by a third in the last three decades; however, drunk-driving crashes claim more than 10,000 lives per year.” That means that over 10,000 lives per year could be saved if we ban alcohol.

The final reason alcohol should be banned is Drinking makes people look different. According to drinkaware.uk, “Alcohol dehydrates our bodies, including the skin – this happens every time we drink. Drinking alcohol can also cause our faces to look bloated and puffy. We might find that it bloats your stomach too. This is caused by the dehydrating effects of alcohol.” Which means alcohol can cause you to be more wrinkled, puffy, and bloated and it can change your appearance for the worse.

Alcohol is just not good. It can cause drunk driving, many different diseases and it can change your appearance. So, alcohol should be banned.
