The Emporia Middle School 7th grade basketball team went up against Shawnee heights. The game was at home. You could hear the cheerleaders cheering in the background and you could hear everyone running up and down the court. The game didn’t start off like Emporia Middle School had hoped. The game right off the bat Shawnee was ahead. I could recognize some of the plays from Girls basketball. Overall the team played really well. The game was a nail biter. In the last three minutes both teams were playing hard, there were multiple shots of both teams trying to stay on the top. Emporia was playing really hard, but the game ended up with Emporia being behind by four points. Emporia will win next time!
