Qui-Gon, Count Dooku, Ashoka, Commander Cody, Darth Maul, and Jar Jar are just a few new characters that were created for 3 great movies. Which ones? The Prequel Trilogy! This set of 3 movies (1: The Phantom Menace, 2: Attack of the Clones, 3: and Revenge of the Sith) is the second trilogy of Star Wars made but come before the first chronologically (in timeline order). These movies came out in 1999, 2002, and 2005 and are perfect movies to watch at any time. In this story, I will rate them worst to first! MASSIVE SPOILER ALERT
My first pick and least favorite is Attack of the Clones. The biggest downfall for this movie is that it has too much Padme and Anikin and not enough Star Wars. I mean this movie is still good but just not my favorite. This movie also has really good fight scenes, CGI, and characters. I really liked the intense of the clones, Jango and Boba Fett, and Count Dooku. The climax of this movie is really good because it is a bunch of Jedi fighting a bunch of droids and the Jedi almost lose. This also kicks off the Clone Wars which is sad but really cool. So, of the three this is the one that loses but still a great movie.
My second pick would be The Phantom Menace because this movie was sad but also had really good fight scenes just like Revenge of the Sith. Darth Maul and Qui-Gon are both characters made for this movie and are really awesome! Darth Maul has a double-bladed lightsaber, the first one ever seen in a movie, and is really cool because of his acrobatics and horns. Qui-Gon is also cool because he trains Obi-Wan, an original trilogy character, and was smart and a great Jedi. Just like Revenge of the Sith, this movie is also really sad, Qui-Gon dies. I really liked Qui-Gon and then he gets stabbed. This movie is fun, sad and a great movie but something that I forgot was MUSIC! Duel of Fates was the piece played during Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan versus Darth Maul. That is one of my favorite Star Wars pieces and a great one to listen to. This was an awesome start to an awesome trilogy!
My third pick and favorite of the three has to be the third and final movie of the trilogy, Revenge of the Sith. This one is the best because it had the best graphics and really good fight scenes. I also really liked Anikin at the time and this Anikin wasn’t as big of a brat as Attack of the Clones Anikin but was still a Jedi, unlike The Phantom Menace Anikin. Another thing that I like is the music to go along with the battles, it adds suspense and more drama while also being good to listen to by itself. Also, this movie has some funny-ish moments like, “Hello There” and “Only a sith deals in absolutes”. The thing is though, they aren’t being haha your dumb funny and that makes it even more fun. With the humor in this movie, it is really sad, all the Jedi die, clones betray them, ANAKIN IS DARTH VADER! It is sad but also a great cap off to the trilogy.
So, to sum up the story, I rated the prequel trilogy by opinion worst to first. Revenge of the Sith came out on top with The Phantom Menace second and Attack of the Clones last.
