Civilians around Emporia were trapped in their homes as heavy snowfall created ice on roads closing schools for 3 days straight.  Many people of the town were happy as most didn’t have to work. As the storm progressed, roads became worse and barely anyone would be able to drive. Some people wanted the whole week off for school but the weather started changing. Almost everyone in the city was safe from the snow and the ice.
